i got a 1litre 3pot, with 2 accidents, first year cost me 2032quid this year with a years no claims went down to £1024, im 19 live in a mid crime area, but before i had accidents i was 17 on a provisional, with a 1.4 8v corsa vegas, and it would be £1489, but went with ma dad as main driver and me 2nd driver for £789. with CIS, but then when i had ma accidents with them, they refused to insure me, understandable, but im with zenith, provided by swinton, and it was clear 200quid cheaper than anyone else. i never bother with tpft, aways full comp, might cost a bit more but if u do have an accident n it your fault, at least your not without a car for too long.

well u can blame yound drivers having so many accidents, specially males which i was one of them, when we pass our test we think we can drive, but we cant drive as good as we think, theres also immigrants are another reason, the have a crash with 1 or 2 in the car then claim for 5 in there car so compensation of say 1500 quid each person on one crash claim it soon adds up but some times they just crash just so they can claim i remember reading an article on it about a year ago, i paid bout 789quid for the year and had a 4 car pile up on an A road, there was about 9 claims for injury to car right offs and 2 car repairs bet it was 10000 and more when done, thats wats insurance is for but thats also why younger ppl pay through the nose its a ball ache.

one bit of advice for new drivers. get your own policy,. youll get screwed in the long run.

ive been on my own policy since i can drive. now i can insure 2 x 2.5 litre plus cars/truck for less than 1k 8)

although im pretty old now

Churchill did it for me two years in a row..

but i didnt declare any mods i had on my other car and corsa is standard yet...

it was 1500 in Hyundai accent coupe which is group 5 insurance.

corsa should cost me around 600 a year without mods and 1 years ncb..

i agree i live in bradford and a quote for my 1.0 breeze is over 2000 on every place ive checked. i blame it all on the area. my plan for the car is to get some standard vauxhall alloys like off an astra or corsa gsi. will this be classed as puttin " modifications" on the car?

I'm 19, with a 1.2 Corsa LS
my insurance is a little over £1200

i'm with first central

(after hours, no days, if not weeks of searching)

and for 1200 a year
i get
courtesy car
legal assistance
AND (not that im ever likely to need it) insurance for travelling abroad with my car

try looking with them,
