enjoy.

comments welcome.

hey people you people that already know me know that i dont keep my corsa's long before another project is started but this one is a project and a half it is a rust bucket and the engine is a bag of spanners. igntion is cream crackerd 'the list just goes on'

gona keep this car though for my self rarther than keep buying them doing them up and selling them always wated one of these so this is for keeps.

also the heater controls wernt screwed into place either so took the whole lot out and put back in will post pics tomoz of it all back together

Image
were the seat frame had snaped
Image
goodies
Image
and more goodies
Image

thursdays progress pics

steering collum out with ignition etc
Image
new collum in with new igntion cap plastics etc changed the barrel though so sstill all one key
Image
some goddies off ebay £10 plus £10 p n p
Image
seat bracket welded up with a bit of mat black over the welds
Image

bit more progress poo pics though.

trim back in with vauxhall carpets looks dierty in pics but is rli clean.
Image
Image

all four arches off and 2 front inner arches and rear bumper off bad pics again as i work outside.

took head off as headgasket had gone

got it skimed and they took 8 thow off it ano its alot but i think the limt of these heads is about 10 i think so should wack the comprestion back up :)

got new camshaft kit 'so thats camshaft hydrolic tappets new arms you name it i have it basicaly a full rebuild'

got the head gasget kit with head bolts £16 which i thought was mint plus valve stem seals.

got the gsi bumper of good old ste and also a stainless steal cat back system although it looks like its gona be a night mere fitting it as it seems of been welded onto the old car and chwed off wen it was removed..
also got a new timing belt kit and water pump.
had to get someone to take a pic of me doing the job for collage so will post it here anyway

before i cleaned it

after i got my hands on it

one of the horrible block

bumper

head done and back on

after

Image
got a few service parts to go on it

Image

also destricted the air box as i noticed the pipe was throwing the old air away from the intake so must improve the air air flow a bit well will do even more when i get a proper k@n pannel filter quick pic anyway.

Image
also fited new air intake rubber hose old one was riped.

out of service parts i have fitted the air filter and fuel filter and fan belt just need to cap the plugs up and thts it really.

while im waiting for body work to start i think i will add the lowering springs and exhaust mybe paint drums and calipers silver what you recon?
right well fitted new cat back system ''purchased off ste l !thank you! ;)''

i have fitted it the best i can for the time being but when i get the car on the road i will take it to a stainless steel exhaust speclist as it basicaly it is about an inch from the rear beam and close to the rear spring also, so i want it heating up and ajusting also want a better peice fitted were it conects to the cat as who ever removed the from the prevous car just basically hacked it off and cut it to short so its only just on.

but on the plus side it sounds nice lovely grumble bit loader than i would usually go for but also air box sounds nice without that pipe in.

pics:

Image
this pic makes the rust look twice as bad for some reason but hey its all gonna get sorted.
Image

Image

also while i was under there i noticed the usual rusty place on the chassis so did the usual thing and ramed a screw driver through it and pealed back the under seal lol its is getting ground down on tuesday and gona weld a new peice in.

Image

it is welded up know and looks smart btw need to get new pics.
