its best to declare anything and everything. Some companys such as CIS and flux arnt bothered about the common mods such as back box and induction kit

yea tell them about ever thing out side and in the engine thats been changed.

better to be safe that sorry and declare it all! every last bit of it! or ill get angry as youll make a claim inurance wont pay out then they will have to put the premiums up to cover etc etc etc etc etc!!!!! grrrrrrrrr

unfortunatly you do need to declare
side repeaters (they are classed as driving lights and could affect how other drivers see you)
tinted windows (they affect you view and other drivers view etc.)
alloy pedal things (by law your pedals have to be atleast 50mm apart)
red dials (classed as changing dashboard and could affect how u read the dials)
your even suppost to declare accessories like:
(the list pinched from go-compare.com)
Air conditioning
High level/Extra brake lights
Spot lights
Altered pedal config
Parking sensors
Sunroof
Bull bars
Rally lights
Tinted windows
Car phone
Removal/Replacement of seats
Tow bar
Dashboard changes
Roof rack
Upholstery changes
Driving lights
Satellite navigation system
Wheelchair adaptation
Fog lights
Sports steering wheel

declare everything a mod is a mod, ur driving ilegaly if not
this has been coverd so many times.
might put your insurance up but if ur not gonna delare eveything then u might aswell not have insurance,

Im just lucky as my company swiftcover.com is all online and u can't declare anything. They say they arnt bothered about some things and just wont insure u with others. There are ways 2 get around this though - usually interior parts they wont care about unless its like stripping it out and putting bucket seats in, usually they aint bothered about backboxes and also a k&n air filter can be classed as just routine maintenance - they last longer so ur just saving some money in the long run
