Suggestions and Ideas

Post by Coolstorydan »

Basically just picked up this Corsa with a years MOT for cheap, After my Corsa C packed in. Now thinking of making it into a project, am changing the grill on the weekend. Will put in my old 6x9's. Not sure on what else I can do? (Angle eyes are a bit too pricey ATM)! Definitely thinking of getting new seats but don't know what people reccomened? Happy to hear what you've got to say, cheers.

Welcome to the forum mate :)
There's loads of ways you can go with the b, cheapest would be just lower it blacken or spray the trim gloss black and some diy depos,

Again for seats a couple of options easiest being sport or sxi seats with black door cards or if you can get them calibra leathers

Any pics of the Austin?
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

It's an easy job mate if your gonna DIY it, personally I would take it to a body shop, but if your wanting them smooth a good sand down with something like 320 and then a high build primer on, you can get a decent aerosol high build, then flatten that with some 500 wet and dry when it's dry then just gloss black them or whatever colour you want to do them, from the picture you put up tho they don't look in bad condition maybe some auto glym bumper and trim gel would make them look really well [emoji106]

Finally got the car into the garage today and got some work done:
- New grill
- Radio
- SRI Seats (slight rip in drivers side, anyone know how I can repair?)
- Black door cards (didn't get round to fitting them, but got the front, back and door cards for £50 :P)
- 6x9's put in the parcel shelf but still need wiring
- Removed Sticker residue off the boot

Next time I get the chance I will:
- De-bump strip
- Remove rust and touch up with Atlantis Blue paint
- Fit door cards
- Blue interior Bulb
- Wire 6x9s

Mates got some HID's sat around which I should be taking them
Off him and will fit at some point!

ANYONE GOT ANY CC ATLANTIS BLUE PARTS: DOOR HANDLES, BUMPER, WING MIRRORS

Not only did you post on your own thread, you also made 2 new threads with a link to the post in your thread?

Do you think it's worth de-bump stripping? Or just get some autoglym gel?:)

Auto glym help works a treat will define you bring the bumpers up well, it's personal preference though mate, I think mine looks better with out them but that's because my car is all colour coded so I took them off, but if your gonna keep the bumpers black then maybe I would leave them on, plus are they damaged that's another reason I took mine off because they were all scraped pal
