Emissions and clutch questions

I'm having trouble getting my 1.4 sport through the emissions part of the mot. The middle and back box are fairly new ( you can still makeout writing on the stickers) and it's got a brand new cat, but on the retest this morning it failed again. Any ideas what it could be??

Also, as I swung out to back down the drive, the clutch cable snapped! How hard is it to change??
Thanks in advance.

What did you do to help the emissions? Clutch cable isn't difficult just has to be ran through bay and hooks in to a fork on the pedal

The middle and back box were on the car when I got it. All I've done is change the cts and cat.
Good to know about the clutch.

I second this, mine passed after using it after failing on emissions!

"Cat cleaner" ? It's a brand new cat, ie only done 10 miles.

If you can get live data check on the car
And check your lambda sensor is switching like it should or use s multi meter one of the wires should switch between 0.1v-0.5v
Also check the coolant temp sensor if that's not reading correct the car could be over fuelling
Could even be down to a faulty air flow meter

That was my bad missed the new cat bit lol

Service it, try some redex and blast it down the motorway before you drop it off for the test. Fingers crossed they will put it through whilst the engine is still nice n warm n all the poo is blasted out

What state are the air filter and erg pipes in. As said service. No flashy parts. Home tune is a good way to go

Well she's had 4 emissions test ( including the initial mot ) and failed them all, but got better each time. It's had a new cat, new cts, new O2 sensor, and the head gasket and cambelts been done, all the breather pipes have been cleaned out ( one was nearly completely blocked ) and the head was vapour blasted and pistons cleaned.

I'm at a loss now as to what to do next?

How far off is it? What was the testing temperature

Can you get access to live data?

It's not far off and the fan was cutting in every couple of minutes. Live data, is that like opcom for my vectra b?

Same opcom works on the corsa, best plug it in see if all the sensors are working

You could try some redex to lower the emissions down
