Where to shoot, found a club in duckinfield but it's just targets and I want to hunt. Legally can't just go in the middle of no where, need say a farmer to give me permission to shoot on his land. Wondering how to find somewhere, only way Iv thought is writing to local farmers but time consuming and probably won't work.

Go speak to the local farmers normally you get a good response from them as you are controlling vermain. Rabbits need to be controlled and as long as you show common sense and keep away from the livestock you normally find plenty willing.

What just knock in the doors and ask? Only problem with that is they may just see me as a young lad looking to shoot stuff up and not want to take the risk.

Yes just go up to the farms and ask the question.
At the age of 19 -20 we got permission to shoot in the early mornings on and around gleneagles golf course.
The farmers around that area were glad of 4 of us going round early mornings shooting as it was over run by rabbits.
The golf course also were glad as long as you were off before the first golfers were booked to tee off.

How many rabbits did you shoot. Going to ask my local golf club.

What do you do with the rabbits?

I've only ever hunted pheasants and they were to eat or sell at a market [emoji38]

Same with rabbits. Used to be worth £1.50 each kill. Local game butcher had them.

I plan to eat any rabbit or squirrell I hunt.
I tried the local golf club, they got back saying they already have pest control and if that changes, they have kept my contact details.
