You can buy just about everything needed for this conversion off the shelf,

Theres people who just specialise in making that kind of stuff, think lmf stock alot of conversion kits aswell

You'd need to get in touch with some of the old PNG crowd, I know a couple of them are on MIG every now and then and one be's on the corsa sometimes

There the people who did this poo first back in the day [emoji38]
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Bit of an update, Iv got a few things for the corsa now and my gsi bodykit is coming Sunday hopefully. So can get moving forward.
Got some gsi seats, the drivers seat is worn and the others just need a good clean. So going get the drivers seat re trimmed
Image

Got some adjustable coilovers, 60mm rear springs and updated rear shocks
Image

Got some speedlines with center caps, need 2 new tyres and going get them resprayed either gun metal grey or graphite

Image

Iv taken the rear bumper and arches off ready for my new ones and Iv taken the rear springs and shocks off ready for the upgraded ones

Iv taken the black slam panel off? And cleaned behind it. The bottom of the car have surface rust so I'm going to sand it down and etch primer then spray it black.
Then sanding and spraying the slam panel? Black.
The rear axle has surface rust too so again I'm going sand and spray
I'm going take the exhaust off and stone chip under neath and spray black so it's spotless
That's it for now really, probably keep me busy for a couple of days

Another thing is I aren't sure on what colour to have the car now, Iv got 3 ideas but need some opinions.
1. Corsa vxr Orange like the burnt orange colour
2. Like a deep red they do for the alfa Romeo 4c
3. A bit different but brown not sure how it would look but don't think Iv seen a brown corsa before

Cadbury purple sounds pretty good. I like the mauve purple they did for the Sri I think it was.
Adding a bit of an update now iv put my rear suspension on and cleaning it up a bit. Took a few hours but was defo worth it.

The plan is to do the same on the front of the car now. Then when that is done I'm going to do the whole underneath of the car :)

Looks like new tbh mate :)

Do you not have a stabilising bar in your back axle? All facelifts came with one fitted
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Not sure what a stabilising bar is, so couldn't tell you :p
Iv started on the front but need a drop neck spanner? For the top nut on the strut to undo it

It's a hardened steel bar that runs along under the axle to reduce flex
Image
When you up the power you'll want the back end as stiff as can be,

Yeah you need an 18 drop neck and an 11 spanner or an Alan key to undo it
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

I went and bought myself a set of drop neck spanners 6mm-19mm for £9 machine mart.
So Iv done one side of the front suspension now.
Iv also seen another colour I like but aren't sure yet.

Depends on paint and there hourly rate, but around 1k for a full respray, maybe 1.2k for a colour change,

1k would be cheap for a full colour change, you might get cheaper depending on how much prep you do yourself

Not a cheap thing then, think I might see if I can rent a booth out and one of my mates has done a bit of spraying see if he wants give me a hand do it.
Trying do as much as I can to cut the cost down
That's why I'm wondering if I should go down the redtop route, there's loads of guides on the redtops whereas the saab conversion sounds a bit more difficult.
I know I'll get board of redtop power pretty easy tho

There's alot of work in changing the colour of a car, and metallic paint isn't just easy to lay even

Most of the work is in prep so if you did it all yourself and left them just a bare shell it would probably be at least halve the price

I can't imagine getting bored with a 150 brake corsa that weighs less than a tonne [emoji38]
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
