Yes 1.2 8v with a 4 speed gear box.

It has got a oil leak and sometimes a water leak up by the passenger/ centre foot well area.

The water leak will most likely be the heater matrix. Hope you have skinny hands to do that one!

Wouldn't know about oil leak. Mines had a leak either crank shaft oil deal or sump gasket for about a year now I keep meaning to get round to it but it's stopped losing oil now I think it's got that gunged up it block the leak

Found out the problem, well hopefully. The head gasket has gone.
After months of replacing smaller parts, like filters and the such.

It passed the MOT with nothing wrong again, apart from finding this fault.

Is the head aluminium?

8v head gasket is as simple as changing a head gasket gets

I'd suggest getting the head skimmed but it's much quicker and more cost effective to get a head from a breaker, they won't be hard to get

And change cam belt while your at it, all in its a 2 hour job and should cost less than £100 if you do the work yourself by getting another head or around 200 getting the head skimmed but that could be way off it depends on what your local machine shop charges

Thanks very much. Its a bit odd it gone after 45000 miles. I have got a plan to skim it but we will see what happens when we open it up.

Better off getting it done right rather than risk blowing a gasket again.
