On my 4 door had speakers in the rear plastics by the parcel shelf but tbh most just fit some in the shelf itself i think they were 4" oval ones i put 6" fusion in my shelf and had decent sound in the car

Not all models were fitted with rear speakers but all are wired for them
So you could get some standard ones from a breakers for fit some 6x9's in the parcel shlef and just extend the original wiring that'll be tucked in behind the trim probably taped up in the loom

If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Doesn't matter, your headunit probably runs 4x50w or something, but even if you fit 100w speakers they'll just run at half capacity, which leaves room for upgrades if you get an amp, or theoretically running at half power should mean no risk of ever blowing the speaker even with max base, max volume

what wires etc would be required to hook up some 6x9's in the rear shelf ?:)

Just about 2foot of bell/speaker wire would probably be enough and splice into existing wiring
