HELP corsa c12nz engine mods

Pretty new to this so basicly i have a 97 breeze 1.2 all outside and interior finished, its just the engine seems lacking what can i do in regars to upgrades pref cheap as possible (scrap yard) can i do would a corsa 1.4 injecter work any help would be great, im not a mechanic but can do bits and bobs cheers guys

Cheapest option is an engine swap, a 1.4 or 1.6 8v will basically just drop in and start

The 1.2 8v is about the worst engine for mods design wise, they just made it slow with no easy way of making it faster

I no but only been driving for a few month now and insurance was shocking, so no engine swap just yet lol, just abit board and wanted to tweek it a bit i no so far that a 1.8 throtle body and a 1.6 inlet could fit but what am i geting them of lol oh and nova sr cams cheers for reply

Oh and one other thing is there any rocker cover that fits this engine appart from the crap plastic one cheers

Well you've mentioned all the mods known to work but it'll get you to 1.0 power or 1.2 16v power at a push

The rocker cover should be metal a plastic rocker would melt

from what i can see all c12nz come with a standard plastic rocker cover yet a pic online on a tuned 12nz shows a polished 1 , from what i have found online the sr cam throtle body and inlet and a 1400 injector can push it from 45bhp to 65 no rocket ship but bit more fun to drive i just dont no what to source the tb and inlet of for a straight swap

14nz- nova, corsa b, astra f

16nz- vectra a (cavalier) vectra b

18nz- facelift manta or opel reckord, maybe a cavalier
