My Corsa & W.I.P
I have been asked by several members to post some photos up of my Corsa and my W.I.P through my Intro thread.
So I have managed to locate and login to my Photobucket account (which I have not used in a LONG time). Anyway bellow are several photos.. more of my W.I.P than my Corsa I am afraid as my Corsa is just a run around/every day car and 80% of cash goes on W.I.P when I have some spare to spend.
I will start with showing off some of my Corsa(s), The Gold... or as I called it Rusty coloured one (aka CHUCKIE.. as in the killer doll.. story behind it)... and then my current one which is the Green one... (aka HULK):
Like I said before.... the Corsas are standard and have NO modifications to them..... :-S
on the run up to an MOT I decided to give her a good once over and I am glad I did. She struggles to pass MOTs on exhaust fumes etc (running decat DOES NOT HELP THIS MATTER), How ever I have now got myself a CAT for her and it goes on and comes off for MOTs.
Anyway bellow is what I found when I serviced her:
One on Left is the new and one on right is what I managed to get out (with some harsh words)
Why not do the brakes etc while I was servicing:
So I changed all round and PADS:
Now for my new Brake lines:
The Old:
The New:
I have left the old line in so you could see the difference:
I also changed the Oil... good job I did as this was the colour of the od oil:
I then went on to "tidy up and modify" the engine:
I started with stripping down, sanding down and fixing up
once stripped down, I started the long process of sanding and polishing:
I then got several hours and thought I would just sand, sand and spray...... looking back... I REALLY wish I never now:
I went on to do the same through out the engine that I could get at etc:
Thought since I was doing the work might as well put a few extras in:
And the FINAL product:
Nice new set of Coilpacks:
Once that was done I moved on to replacing some damaged head and Tail lights:
New Front:
Rear:
I am not sure how THIS was passing MOT's but it was.... however I changed it so..
The black stickiness of DEATH... this stuff gets EVERYWHERE!!!
and New ones in:
Now that I had sorted the external out I thought I would move to the Internal side of things:
Partly done:
completed:
the W.I.P has been used in one or two Photoshoots with models and one or two JUST as the Car for local car clubs etc.
I REALLY should get the engine out her and tidy the whole thing up properly but its finding time and money just now to do this. I am after her to be ready for JAE this year however so please watch this space...
If people are keen for me to start sorting out the Corsa please let me know.. I might do some tidying up work of the engine etc of her if enough interest is shown.
I hope that people have enjoyed this thread and I will keep use all posted when I get time to carry one the work with her

Re: My Corsa & W.I.P
Well I have been thinking over the whole Corsa thing...... I went out earlier today and stood and thought "WHAT COULD I DO TO MAKE HER LOOK NEATER/NICER?" so I watched her
To tell the truth I am kind of stumped, I am use to working on larger engines and larger cars. I wouldn't mind tidying up the Engine bay (as I have loads of stuff to that due to the W.I.P) how ever I am not 100% sure on what to do and what else to do to her...
SO.. I am asking use for some advice/ideas on what I can do to her, only catch is.. it needs to be done as cheaply as possible as its my W.I.P money I am spending/dipping into.
Please post your ideas up here and I will see what I can do.
Bellow is the current engine bay:
I am hoping to start work on it within the next month or two!!

Re: My Corsa & W.I.P
Sounds like a plan.. although the amount of miles I clock up I like the thought of a rear wiper blade.. spec when back in Scotland with all that lovely sunshine.... I mean rain!!
I will look into the rest of the parts.. Cheers for the advice guys
I love it... she needs some patching up (rust etc) but I will get round to that when I am doing the rest of things to her.

Re: My Corsa & W.I.P
I forgot how CHEAP modding smaller cars can be,
So far I am looking at getting some Mrk4 Astra side reapers, Not sure on colour just now (ideas)
Stan - I like the Punto look etc, easy to do?
Andy - Yeah looks alright pressed plates etc.
I have just ordered some more engine tidy up stuff so once I have done with Liner I will put the spare stuff to good use and get the engine bay of the Corsa looking neat/nicer than it is.
As for alloys, I think I am passing on them, I will just sand and spray up the Steels I have on it and see what I can come up with etc.... my BBS wheels on liner need a good refurb hence no alloys for Corsa lol.
