I would get two tyres for the front if you can afford it, that way you have 2 even tyres on the front, 2 even on the back, and a good spare.

Well I'm thinking of just getting a part worn for now, then once I land a job, I'll pick up some alloys and get new tyres all round

Re: First Car (1.2 16v Envoy)
Righto! Went out this morning to try finally locate this damn oil leak and I think I may have been successful! But first I took some pictures of my terrible front bumper...
This clip doesn't fasten down correctly
Nice crack...
And a nice big chip, eventually I will be hoping to get a colour coded front bumper rather than the poop all black
Now the engine bay:
Checked the coolant lid, no cracks or anything
But this is what worries me, for once though I could actually see some liquid in the bottle!
I started the car up to check for any coolant leaks and I saw none, which is good but still confusing about why the liquid seems to be non-existent and why the bottle is so filthy, any tips on cleaning it out?
So I got on finding the oil leak, and I noticed exactly where it was dripping from and tbh it was dripping at least a drop every minute, but only when the engine was on
You can just see where the drips are on the floor, so I got my phone right below it and this is what I found:
The oil was dripping from this bolt, so I have it a wipe and no more dripping but I can imagine it'll start again :/
So anyone any idea about this? Is it loose or what?

Where's.that bolt, your to close to telk
If it doesn't fit,

If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

It's the bolt above that black joint thing, right in the corner of the sump

If your sure it's coming out of there then change the sump gasket and it should sort it mate
You'll need new oil aswell so you may do a mini service while your at it

Re: First Car (1.2 16v Envoy)
I got under the car today in the gf's dad's garage and we had a good look around, the coolant is all good no leaks so that problem is out of the window, now the oil leak, none of the bolts are loose plus, all
The oil seems to be coming from below the check switch area but above the sump, but everything seems right and we could find no leak location so were just putting it down to old age xD

Re: First Car (1.2 16v Envoy)
Went to a small car shop the other day, mainly to finally replace my blown out brake light, but at the same time picked myself up some new car mats to suit the theme of the car a bit more, plus for some strange reason I was rolling with a 2 drivers side floor mats one in the passenger footwell and one in the drivers footwell of course
Girlfriend got to work removing the huge staples while I replaced the bulb all on the car park, quality!
