First project 1.2 16v Arden blue!

Post by Tom94 »

Hi I'm new on here so be gentle haha

Bit of a back drop story of the car first.
Last September the accountant at work confronted me about giving me her dad's corsa b as he could know longer drive due to health reasons.
So with me not long passing my test it fell lucky with how it worked out.

Info on the car.... When I got it, it only had 56k miles on the clock with 12 years vauxhall service history and 1 previous owner, hadn't been on the road since 2012 and it flew through the MOT when I took it,

Any way here are some pictures when I first got it ImageImageImageImageImage

After it's first clean...

Hope this post world lol will post more later starting with what I have done and lil changes I have made to it. Look forward to hear from you all!
Cheers Tom

First project 1.2 16v Arden blue!

So here's what I've done so far over the last few months. Slow progress because of dark nights until recently and racing motocross over the weekends. But it's not a race right :p.

Kenwood stereo brought of a lad from work out of his old astra fitted in perfect not alterations had to be made.

Found a cheap set of Cav slabs on eBay 5 wheels for £77 Image

Could do with a re-furb at some point most likely in the winter. Spare was sanded down when I brought them.

On the car...

After

Also found on eBay a whole boot lid with the gsi spoiler on from southwest vauxhall very helpful if you have not used them before.

On the car

Also got a towing eye cover as it was missing when I had the car.

Changed discs and pads on the front

Image which is the new pad :0

Adjusted the handbrake and rear brake shoes also.
That's it for tonight.

Cheers Tom

Not sure at the moment I do like glass black on the Arden blue corsa's but I'd like to keep them original colour

First project 1.2 16v Arden blue!

Post by Tom94 »

Evening
So base plan has changed in my mind more than twice lol
At first it was just to tidy it up and that but then I decided to google about and discovered this forum and seen what you've all done made me want to have ago, but the look I've liked the most is this. If the owner is on here think is name is alex, top job on your car looks flawless!

. Image

And that's what I'm aiming for mine to look like, this week I finally found a complete GSI body kit forsale at a cheap price and picked it up Tuesday.
ImageImageImage

A little work is needed before getting it painted but I'm not in a huge rush so going to take my time.

I do want to lower it but not sure how low yet

Going to put wind deflectors on and also mudflaps to finish it off!
Any advice and tips would be great
