Hi there!

Andre here. Live in Johannesburg in sunny South Africa. Came across this forum while looking at some Corsa B builds.

I have had a couple of Vaux's before, probably the most interesting one being a Corsa B pickup with a C20LET in it.

I am currently busy building meself a track car. Will post some details 8)

Those are individual throttle bodies - basically a fuel injected version of side draughts

They basically allow you to get air into the combustion chamber more effectively, but you need some serious cams to get the most out of them. I never ran those on my pickup as it was too much work involved running itb's and turbo

Ahh i see. I hope to get a 1.6 8v into my corsa next year and would love trumpets. Can they be bought as a bolt on kit or is it all custom made?

1.4 16v is cheaper tax for near the same power, if the 8v hasn't been rebuilt the 1.4 might cough out more bhp

That will probably have to be all custom. The trick is always going to be to get small enough throttles for the 8v to be effective - too big and the air speed is too slow. You will probably need throttles in the region of 35mm, about a 286 deg cam, adaptor plate, management etc etc etc

You can get about the same power for less cash by doing 1800 16v

Not being funny but it will be taxed and insured as a 1.2,

And Dodging, the 1.6 is a much easier swap i would love 1.8
