Its got to be, hopefully they can find out, if its the cable say you want another one or money back!

Are you sure you have connected to the correct wire on the headunit for the remote?

I was thinking the same tbh but he says he has alot of people dont connect to the remote wire on the head unit and double ground it by mistake

yeah it's definitely the correct wire, even changed the headunit exchanged the wiring kit, definitely something dodgy going on tbh!!

Finally found out the problem!!

the guy that fitted the wiring put the bloody power cable on the negative! it's all in and running now as it should be and I'm loving it! :D
