To spray morette headlights will i need to use a plastic primer then a plastic colour or will the plastic primer be sufficient for me to use a normal colour as i cant find matte black plastic colour online, but surely as the lights wont flex it shouldn't crack (in theory)

I'd say normal primer would be fine aswell tbh I can't see it cracking

You definitely will be fine with normal paint anyway

ive just done my morettes and did the following steps :

800 Grit wet and dry then clean them up with bodyshop wipes
1200 Grit wet and dry cleaning them again
1500 Grit making them smooth then cleaning

primer with plastic or normal 2-3 coats
then painted with normal paint I did mine ford graphite grey 3-4 coats

the lacquer then 4-5 coats

i'll upload some stage pics of my progress with them later if that helps

Yeah that would be helpful dan

Wont all those layers make the paint abit thick?

Paint and lacquer goes on thin anyways so wont thicken the application to much
