Warren's B project

Post by Warren7 »

Hi all, I'm warren from South Wales. New to the forum and thought I'd get a little thread going on a project I've just bought.

This is my first proper project, I've had about 20 cars in the past 8 years but none that will sit in the garage and get full attention and not worry about it getting ruined from work ect!

This is what I'm currently driving...

Image

My astra g van workhorse. Has a few gsi bits but nothing special but goes from a-b!

Right onto the B... I picked this up a week or so ago for £70...

Pics taken by previous owner and don't have the wheels now.

It's a 1.2, has a backbox and poo rear lights. But it won't be staying like that for long!

I have pretty big long term plans, firstly it will be a big tidy up. It's been sat for about a year so needs attention! Hopefully I'll be ending up with an engine conversion - money depends on what it will be - but turning it into a minter will be first. I'm hoping to renew/upgrade everything I can.

Thats all for now, hoping to get started as soon as this weather shifts!

Thanks for reading!

Welcome mate:)

Car looks clean and plans sound good, looking forward to seeing it done
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Yeah been looking for a cheap enough car for a while and this one fitted the description!

Does anyone know if the interior is standard? It doesn't look very 'base model' lol

I'd never own another one. Probably 6 years ago I bought that! They're getting cheaper and every ones got one now lol.

Hopefully picking up a spoiler for the B soon... If the seller gets back to me! Along with a few other goodies if the price is right.

Yeah man eventually. I want a gsi bumper first and there's one for sale local but it's up for over £100? Surely they're not worth that much?

Finally picked her up today! Didn't get much time to do much though.

Changed the headlight bulbs for some osram night breakers I had lying around with some white led sidelights

Old bulbs were ruined!

Think I'll start on the bodywork this week, and strip the interior!

Few random pics of how she stands now... ImageImageImage

Drive is getting full now lol
