My Corsa B

Post by NAYLOR6626 »

Just bought this car a few weeks ago Image

Image

It's a 1.4 16v sport with a GSI engine fitted just a few months ago.

Lowered on 60mm springs at front, along with spax coilovers in the rear

4-2-1 manifold along with a de-cat pipe with a scorpion back box

16" soft star alloys with 195/45/16 Sunnys along with red callipers

Next things on the list to do;

Change alloys to White Corsa Sports
Buy a new set of blistein coilovers
Fit a redtop engine in time

Any thoughts?

Welcome to the forum mate me personally i wud keep your soft stars on it and if ur gonna do a conversion u can fit a 2.5 or 3.0 engine in and get good power from them as well but otherwise its a nice clean example you have the other thing is to smooth the bumpers from the indents to give it a clean euro look
If it ain't green and black send it back :D

That's a lovely car, is it 1.4 or 1.6

Personally I'd keep the soft stars they look so much better than sports imo

And if your going 2ltr I wouldn't bother doing exhaust as it'll have to 're done
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Cheers guys, it's a 1.4 on the tax book but a 1.6 gsi engine in it. Does need a bit of work doing to it, new throttle body and under the plastic trim on the drivers arch it's rusted quite badly.
School boy error and viewed the car at night.

Yea lad live in Northern Ireland. But currently working in England for a while, so just left the car garaged until I get back. Do you know anything you can do to increase the power with a 1.6 engine? Like uprated throttle bodies or stuff like that?

Basic mods are a power box inlet, vx, mantel dblis and a a 4-2-1 or 4-1 mani de-cat straight thru exhaust, port and polished head

Then your chatting cams and uprated internals with lots of cash

The basic idea of n/a engine mods is get more air in faster and let the exhaust gases away faster

The intake just keep an eye on all forums and they come up for sale

For exhaust eBay is as good as any or again keep an eye on the forums

The chip just raises the rev limit
