Debadged grill is always a smart mod
You should strip the paint off the splinter imo, looks better black

If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Re: Silver 1.2 MoreDoor
I'll try and do this as a bit of tutorial for some of you guys that are struggling because between me and a mate we did this pretty problem free.
So to de bump strip your car we started off by heating a 4inch swction of the strip at one end with a hairdryer. next you want a card preferable without imprinted numbers and slowly push the glue from behind the strip until you can get your fingers under and get a grip on it.
Next you want to pull the strip just enough that it has tension on it but its not pulling away from the car so dont pull at to much of an angle.
While your doing this get a friend to heat at the bend of strip and with the card keep pushing back the glue. Dont be tempted to just yank the strip or to cut the clue with the card it works far better if you push it as you get most of it off in clumps.
Even with this advice your still ginna be left with all the poo stuff so what I did to get rid of any thick lumps was heat it up again and with roofers gloves I rolled away any glue I could (I used the gloves to save from blisters) next I brought a tub of autoglym intensive tar remover and applued a generous amount left for 10 mins then applied more waited a further 10 mins then wiped off. Simple as that! A few bits were still showing but with a bit of a scrub they went pretty soon

Re: Silver 1.2 MoreDoor
I was thinking that too but the bumpers got a few cracks and scraps so I think it can wait until I get new bumpers to stick onjohnny wrote:Debadged grill is always a smart mod
