Thought it was about time for my first project to start..

Just brought this 1999 silver 1.2 5door from a nice old lady who, quite spectacularly, has owned it from new between her and her daughter!

Its a nice clean car other than a little scrape on the front bumper (the old girl quite driving after having that little scrape hence the sale).

I was a bit hesitant buying a 5 door because most of you lot seem to slag them off! but I've got quite a few ideas on the go. Only got the one problem,I'm up in Birmingham for uni and I leave the car down in Luton. But I'm home most weekends so the work shouldn't be too slow.

Plans

These are a few plans I'm looking into doing...
Remove badges and bumpstrips.
Possible dewiper and delock.
Hopefully I've just got a set of bbs rs reps to stick on it.
60mm drop.
Hekko 4 piece wind deflectors.
Various colour coding.
Some form of dials (looking at lockwood at the moment).

This weekend I'll hopefully have all the badges and bumpstrips removed and then get the wheels fitted next week but don't know whether to wait until I have the coilovers and do both at the same time...

Well I'm only 19 so the best option for me was the 5door its much cheaper on insurance...

Ye couldn't believe how cheap they are lol mine is the 1.2 8v gls and is group 2 on the insurance so costs very little to insure lol

I've found out im away over christmas this year so will have to delay the start of my corsa project for a few weeks... ive had a few parts arrive that can be put on as soon as possi le just need to have a look at some coilover kits over Christmas

Right, coming back from holiday in a few days got a couple of goodies for the car and should have my wheels delivered by the weekend. First job on my list is removing bump strips and all the poo that comes with it then a nice clean for the car. If anyones got any advice to save me a bit of effort I would appreciate it...

Toffee wheels off of eBay and some decent tar remover! It's a complete bastard to do... I still have some glue on mine I just can't get off... So take your time with it

Cheers pal I'll take a look do people use a toffee wheel for the polishing as well? Or is it suggested to just use a bit of strength
