Re: Arden 1.2 16v(dead)/ irmy 1.4 16v
As of today the corsa is taxed and insured just waiting on a date for test
First run out this morning and after about 5 mile the mid pipe broke [emoji38] so hoping to get some pipe tomorrow and make up a new race tube and start to tune the engine in
Forgot how scary standard corsa suspension is [emoji38] But once the new rubber arrives for the gsi stepdowns it'll get lowered and tracking sorted

Re: Arden 1.2 16v(dead)/ irmy 1.4 16v
Exhaust was completely bodged together and smashed in to make it fit, the mid pipe was a very bad 'custom' made pos
I was in such a mood about it I didn't take pics or anything but I had to just cut any f*ucked pipe and welded my race tube straight on, probably regret it later on when I go to change it but I just wanted it sorted

Re: Arden 1.2 16v(dead)/ irmy 1.4 16v
Pic of exhaust work
the wire was just to keep it still while the weld cooled
sitting abit tighter to the bumper than I wanted but it doesn't seem to be burning it so I'm happyish
Just a quick vid of how it sounds

Cam belt snapped [emoji24] [emoji24]
I'll update later on whether I'm a lucky bastard or not
Going to go fit a new belt at the side of the road at lunch time and hope for the best

Re: Arden 1.2 16v(dead)/ irmy 1.4 16v
Well got the belt fitted and sadly today wasn't my lucky day[emoji24]
so 4 hours later it looked like this,
14 out of 16 valves just shat themselfs, bit disappointed I didn't get all 16 but it'll make a nice table anyway
Hopefully be up and running by Friday

Re: Arden irmscher corsa sport
Finding a cylinder head is proving a lot harder than I expected, can't even find a 1.6 vec b starting to notice the B's getting scarce now
Even worse I can't find anywhere that sells inlet valves
Going to keep looking over the weekend and then I'll just buy a z14xe head and take the valves out of it

Re: Arden irmscher corsa sport
Shell is a bit rusty. I have a 2door 1.2 16v though that might be getting a conversion so that could be a plan. Is it just a bare engine you have?

Re: Arden irmscher corsa sport
It's in a calibra , but couldn't say if anythings off it, might ruin my sale here but I've never heard it run, when I got it I was told it ran but I never even tried to fire it

Re: Arden irmscher corsa sport
Do you have a key for it? Im going to try get a b204 but if not I will keep you in mind as a 20ne would be a much easier swap. Just a shame its not a turbo [emoji14] wont be getting anything for awile yet as I need to find a house with a garage first.johnny wrote:It's in a calibra , but couldn't say if anythings off it, might ruin my sale here but I've never heard it run, when I got it I was told it ran but I never even tried to fire it

Re: Arden irmscher corsa sport
I did but I'd need to search for it [emoji38] it'd want a fresh belt before its started because it's been lying up for a while now
I'd love to do a saab turbo but I know I'd just get fed up with it and it'd take a year before I'd finish it [emoji38]
