so its still sitting useless in my back garden after late nights after work putting it back together with a C16SE head, i came across a few misshaps and ended up having to remove the sump too! but the main problem now is the dizzy, it would either run spot on and then cut out after 10 seconds and die, or run like a sack of spuds then cough splutter and die, so last chance for her, a new dizzy if no luck she may have to go... or ENGINE SWAP :D

Could you not get the bottom end of the c16? I'd say your compression if off a fair bit and that's why it won't run right
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

moneys limiting me boys, plus the head is identical to my c14nv one tbh i cant see the difference, im going to put my old pulley on and a new dizzy after that god knows, and rsi-dan money again mate, also i dont have time or space to do a conversion tbh boys if anything would have to be an 8v so i wouldnt have to change any of the loom

Aw I forgot yours is 1.4, compression shouldn't be far enough off to run badly then, best bet is probably a new dizzy cap
