I have a 1.4 8 valve corsa van with no power steering and want to transplant everything across from a T reg Corsa 1.4 Sport with air con, am I right in thinking the van is a type A shell and the Sport a type B? What difficulties will I have?
Many thanks

You are right about the types. Will you be converting the engine to a 1.4 as well?

Do you want power steering on the 1.4 van?

i recon your best bet would be to get the hydraulic power steering rack, and associated pipework, then look at getting a 2.0 vauxhall power steering pump which is a single V belt pulley and possibly use a 2.0 conversion mount and bolt it to the front of your engine block if the correct holes are there, otherwise custom make a mount to fit.

Sorry, yes I do want to swap at least the 1.4 16v engine across if not the spare 1.8 X18XE1 I have spare sitting in a Y reg astra! I was just wondering if the van body can take the engine mounts on the 16valve engine?
