A little trick I've found is if it is the CKPS when it cuts out... try pouring water on the sensor. If it restarts... that's your problem.
This would indicate an open circut when hot

i think my mechanic is holding my Corsa Hostage :(
its been 6 weeks now. i think it might be time to go into Liam Nesson mode.

turns out the handbrake adjuster part i was trying to find comes brand new on a set of handbrake cables, managed to only find this out because i had been searching gumtree for the part, and people were only wanting to sell me the full back axel for £60. One guy i was texting was able to let me know it came on new brake cables.

I have 2 drums in the garage from when I changed my back axle, may be late but I never thought before hand
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Aw I thought you were after the one in the drums

Faulty wire is bs imo, sounds like he's buying time

he said he replaced the Crankshaft sensor and that he had the cables to do the brakes. could be that hes buying time i was hoping the crankshaft sensor would have fixed the problem.
if its not faulty wire / faulty ground i think you have to check from the coil pack and work your way down ? could it maybe be the coil pack itself ? as it as it sounds like an ignition issue. i dont see how a faulty wire could have happened unless from heat or something ?

if i go back 6 weeks ago i could have been certain it was a blown oil seal or something. would a bad vacuum cause an engine to cut out ?

I never got an adjuster with my new cables. My adjuster was pulled apart on one side so i closed it up with a pliers and cable tied it.

Seem like something he should have checked in his diagnosis tbh.

You'd be surprised what a little extra resistance can do. However.. for this concern 6 weeks is indeed a long time

Manifold leak would cause rough/high idle. An oil seal wouldn't cause cut. Hard to be accurate over the Internet I'm afraid.

If you can get a fuel pressure gague check it between pump and engine, 40-60psi rule of thumb. And ensure it holds some pressure when pump not running.
