Front Door Speakers

Post by gareth_mattey »

Hi,

I'm getting some sony door speakers and the mount thing so i can screw it in.

With regards to wiring, is it just an adapter that plugs into the other or do i have to start messing wiring things up?

Thanks

shud just be a case of pluging it in mate. the worst thing you might have to do is cut the wires and solder or crimp them back together.
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

Id rather have ones at the side of the parcel shelf to be honest. Does anyone know what torx screwdriver you need to get into the panel? Thanks

Well the front speakers are coming tomorrow, hopefully picking up a stealth shelf and getting some 6x9s afterall, will the cable from the standard speakers reach 6x9s more central in the boot or will i have to start soldering and extending wires to make it longer??

thanks

you'l have to make them longer, but just join them togeather with crimps, its well easy tbf, and drill a small hole up next to the parcel shelf hinge point to run the wire through to the speakers, this makes it look neater than running it from the rear light access pannels and then up to the speakers.

Ive got some sony coaxial speakers for the front, what do you do with the end of wire that has no plugs on? Do you just put it into the old black connector so it makes contact with them metal plugs? Thanks

Well i fitted the front speakers, used them bullet connectors. Got a weird problem with when stopped the engine heat dial is going high, doesnt seem to when driving stays down low.
