Revcounter wiring

Post by 8valveevo »

I recently bought some clocks with a rev counter for my car (1997 1.2 8v) and thers no "green wire" so obviously the counter wont work. I know that a wire needs to be put in so that they work, but were do i run a wire from? and were on the insrtument panel do you run the wire to? any help will be be much appreciated. Cheers.

you need to run a wire from back off the clocks to the ecu. theres a grey plug at the side of the ecu with a pea green wire going into it but not coming out the other side. cut the wire and join a longer bit of wire to it to go to the clocks. its the 4th from the left top it goes into. and i had to move one of the other wires for the em light and handbrake light, so jsut be wairy of that mate
