yep, spark plugs or leads, can check resistance with multimeter set on ohms, one lead on one end, and a lead on the other... cant remember what resistance should be, but lower the better, clean around plug before you cahnge it, so none of the crap falls in. then when you screw a new one in put a bit of copper grease around it. new plugs are usually gapped nowdays. but i like to check em anyway. but if u havent got a gauge just plug it in, you\'ll need a deep socket for it si
*careful how tight you screw it in, and be careful not to cross thread*

ht leads deliver the electricity to the spark plug so it can spark and the dizzy cap keeps the sparks in time with the pistons....i think.

See Simon. I told you straight away on MSN that it was the distributor and leads! Might have to start charging for advice! (but I would guess that as I am not a mechanic and that the above regarding your car was just from experience, that I would get most things completely wrong!

HT leads, stand for high tension i believe. they connect to your spark plugs.
and the \'dizzy cap\' (ive never heard it called that before) thats the distribution cap, it has an arm in it that rotates, and makes an electrical connection on four \'points\'
the ht leads are connected to the points, and thats how you get the sparks to the spark plugs.
unless you\'ve got a \'wasted spark\' ignition like my vectra engine, corsas dont have them as far as i know. maybe the C\'s do
