push boot boot

Post by kirsty_corsa »

Ive recently bought a pop button boot, i have connected the solenoid and everything but for some reason it pops the boot but not open it, some how it falls back onto a safety catch and have to push the boot from inside and push the button again for it to open

has anyone else had this problem and how did you get around it ?

if its popping and then falling back into the latch then maybe your lifters are shagged. if thats the case try a nice chrome set from supernovas.

there is a double catch on the boot, if you grind it down the boot will then be open with only 1 push of the button

But isnt very safe.

The idea of the double catch is in case it doesn\'t fully engage when shutting so when you Set off you don\'t dump the contents of your boot on the road!

of course its safe, if the button is in a place where it cannot be pressed accidently, or just make sure the boot is closed before you drive off
