im lookin for a cat 1 alarm for up 2 300 quid, is this one any good

ive got a clifford concept 300, which cost about £300 (2 and a half years ago) had it in my nova originally and then had it moved into my corsa. its never given me any problems and has never let me down.Its also a cat one pretty much the same as the toad one you mention.

either one is good as long as you get a specialist to install it.

lookin for an alarm myself too, been lookin at at the ai606, but want something which can also control pop solenoids for boot & doors, as im intending on removing the handles n locks.

Dont fancy a clifford, as most are too expensive & also heard a few bad stories about them.

Get a Falcon Predator Evo4+ Pager Alarm

I am getting this on my car, remote starting and also a lcd pager which notifies you when the alarm has been triggered, has many great features, check it out
