u mean 99% of people dont meet the criteria.

My question is why aren't more people calling us on here? Just curious!

if you really want to break records u need to get YOUNG drivers involved not just grandma and grandad

Just to let you know I'm taking a (well-earned?!) rest over Christmas!

From today, I am only in on 23/12 but then off till 4/1/10 so won't be able to answer insurance-related questions on here till then.

As with most people, we have been affected by the snow but most of our staff are in now though it took some time. We are due more snow in our location in the next few days but as half our staff are fairly local anyway, this shouldn't be a problem.

I'll let you know however if there are any significant changes re staffing!

UPDATE - JUST BEEN TOLD WE ARE SHUTTING AT 3.30PM TODAY - WEDNESDAY 6TH JANUARY!

All drivers must have held a full UK licence for at least 1 year, and to insure a 'performance' car, there must be at least 1 years experience of driving that, or similar performance cars. Unfortunately, the scheme is not competitive on all M - Manchester, L - Liverpool, OL - Oldham & SK1-12 - Stockport postcodes and excludes Northern Ireland.

It would seem this also does not include BD post codes either.

So, the areas that where people struggle to find decent insurance is out.
The ages that struggle to find decent insurance is also out.
And the experiance levels of people who struggle to get insurance....is also out of the question.

If your wondering why people on this site aren't calling, i think you may have just realised ^_^.

Firstly, we can cover all cars in BD postcodes as long as they are kept off road overnight.

Secondly, so you're telling me that the 6949 members on here all live in the North West and are aged under 19?

(You misunderstand the point about 'experience'. Basically if you wished to insure an SRi and had just bought it, you would need to have driven similar bhp cars in the past. This 'clause' doesn't apply to vehicles of less spec than the SRi).

Yes, the majority of the users on this forum who would be interested in an insurance scheme, are below the age of 20.

Alot of the REGISTERED member, come along, make a couple of posts, then dissapear again. They are still down on the forum, but they may not have made a post in a while.
The regular posters tend to be quite young.

I agree that the best way of getting more people would be to introduce a scheme for young drivers.

Of course, since we are at the highest risk of pranging someone elses car...or worse, a pedestrian, thats why insurance companies stay well clear of us.

We have just calculated the figures for 2009 and they show that the average recorded saving we made for our new customers last year was 12.5% off their BEST quote so it's certainly worth a call!
