Cherry bomb backbox

Hii, i was just woundering, My mate got a cherry bomb back box for his corsa, and he is selling it for £50, never been used, the only thing is ive herd they are iligal, what are the chances of getting pulled over and your exhaust checked ? Obv if you are red lining it past a police car then you are going to but.. i dont know i realy want it but dont want to get pulled over as 3 more points and ive lost my lisence,

wont get pulled as long as its not to loud and if it is loud just keep it at as low revs as possible through towns n stuff or dust stick clutch in soon as u see a copper.
where im from the police usally dont mind a really loud exhaust they focous on how you drive with it
as long as you rspect the comunity and keep it at lo revs they will leave you alone and then you can nail it when you get out into the countryside or on main roads. and they dont mind

yo man al tell u rite now ma exhasut is super loud. got pulled up by a cop and told me that cud be done because one of the prime reasons its been fitted is to make noise. wudnt worry tho urll only get told to get it removed at the worst

i have a corsa b 1.2 sxi year 2000 and was wondering if it is illegal to cut out the middle box and weld a straight bit of pipe on in its place?

duno about price but yeah u mean de-cat it.

not sure if its illegal but your car would fail its mot on emmissions.

back box, drilled air box, cone filter imo id rather have a nice little rumble as appose to a stupidly loud raw

ur cat is not ur middle box m8. ur cat is just after the manifold and is very hard to get a decat on ur engine. taking ur middle box out tho is piece of piss and and as long as ur backbox aint insanely loud u'll pass an mot fine.

i had no middle box and a 4 inch back box and a drilled airbox and it flew thru its mot. sounded the dogs bollocks tho lol
