cats came in around 1992 iirc, so you will not be let off  it comes to the emissions test in regards to MOT failure. :D

all corsa's have a cat (or should) removing it would invalidate your MOT, therefore driving without MOT first offence
plus your insurance will be invalid, as its under the provion that your car have a valid MOT
and therefore driving without insurance second offence

the only real way of having a corsa b without a cat, is fit an engine that didnt have a cat in the first place (so a pre 1992)
tell the DVLA you have swapped the engine, and your away
plus when it comes to MOT time your car faces a more relaxed emissions test

or fit a 2 stroke engine, they dont get tested lol

Haha don't you have to prove the engines age though...

that can be done through the engine number or a letter from vauxhall. Although some MOT testers actually know what they are doing (yes thats right...a small select few of them do actually know about cars) and will recognise that the engine is out of a pre92 car.

Or you find a 'friendly tester' to sort it for you.
