exactly, so if im paying that price then chances are you will pay around the same.. if not more. Also you will have to pay the full amount because you are 17, i would reccomend you wait until your 18 then you can pay monthly + the price may drop slightly. If you have the money available then just pay the lot off 8)

just got a quote for a 1.6 renault megane dynamique 55 plate, £1,800 and like I said before I'm 18 and and currently pay £2500 for my 1.0 12v corsa merit .... If you spend the time to took around and ring up smalltime insurance companies you could get yourself a better than average deal

I'm 18 looking for insurance at the moment just got quoted £736 TPF&T on a 1.0 1998 Breeze that's with an older driver on the policy with 6 years NCB :) That's the cheapest quote Ive ever had. Most quotes I got were around the £1300 mark

Insurance companies are sneaky,

They know us young drivers will only go TPFT or just TP so they bump that up. Its actually cheaper to go fully comp sometimes. Do some shopping around and never onlu go off the internet prices.

When i passed when i was 17 i got a quote from Norwich union online and they said it was 2200+ and when i phoned them up it was 1011 lol.

TIP: Shop around, not always the cheapest is the best

Yeah, as i said in some other topic, always read the small print, insurance companies will try there hardest to catch you out, and also not to pay out on you. So read it, also if you done it over the phone, ask em what it acually covers, always remember to take those price comparison sites with a pinch of salt, so to speak. :)

If anyone is still looking for insurance. Try Egg I just bought my policy, Me myself (18y/o 1.0 corsa envoy just passed, no ncb) £1288 which is quite good tbh as I live on a busy road in not the best of areas in Glasgow and have no driveway 8)
