Project Vegas

Post by Root »

Just making my own little topic to show you guys what I'm doing with my car, I'm renting a house so I don't have much to spend on my car but I'll update this thread as often as I can.

Here's a photo of my car:
Image

Bought her for £920.
Added sound system [alpine amp, hertz subwoofer, JBL door speakers]
Added alarm, central locking
Added Sunstrip
Added Calibra front seats

So that's what has already been done.
Will update later.

Yesterday I decided to remove the "1.2" and "vauxhall" badges on the back of the car, going for a smoothed boot lock eventually but waiting until I can afford a full paintjob.

Here's where I removed the "vauxhall":

Where the "1.2" used to be:
(yeah I know I need a new corsa badge & my boot is pretty scratched)

and the whole look:

Tomorrow, can't be bothered today, my back hurts a lot from removing the very long "vauxhall" badge; including the gooey black stuff underneath. :(

errr, I went to pick up post-97 bumpers I got on eBay the other day for £21 [back&front bumpers, needed respraying to my color or black]

so I'm happily bopping along, just get out of the area I know so I start asking for directions from the missus who had all the instructions I wrote down earlier.
She goes "oh, it's this turn, it's a shortcut, leads onto the A153".

So I turn into it...the road turns into a mud track, I say bullshit, go to turn around in an entrance to a field by reversing into it then turning.
...Got stuck, went backwards to get a run up, made it 10x worst. Called out RAC, they got here, got the farmer's land rover to pull us out. Cost me £5 to RAC to get them a drink each cus technically they're not meant to pull people out of fields, just help with breakdown's etc then £20 to the farmer.

Proper gay :(

Unfortunately mate, I just lost my job due to not getting up at 5am so I won't be getting them at the time being, but I still plan to buy post-97 bumpers for sure! lol :D
