If so just buy a suspension kit and drop it a few mm

all the time? if its when you go round corners it could be a very knackered wheel bearing????
does sound suspension related tho, as has already been said shock absorbers. piece of piss to change yourself... not expensive really, probs £40 a pair or so. if you push the back of the car down it should rise to where it was reasonably quickly

only problen is, the handbrake is now really loose and it goes up about 7 notches, i\'ll have to adjust the handbrake cable, so more tinkering about with the car in the cold crappy weather :-(
