It's already got plenty of go so anything extra is a bonus. Plus having forged internals can only be a nice bit of extra reliability on top of the excellent quality already there. As it stands it leaves a redtop and off the lights will dust a scooby up to 50-55 mph until they have boost. Can't wait for them to come tomorrow everything's in bits ready to have them inserted just got a nice piston ring compressor today so should have it rebuilt by tomorrow night hopefully turn the key Wednesday morning [emoji2]

If anyone's ever wanted to know what true corsa b dedication is, it's this, giving your x5 beast up and getting it wrapped glitter pink and giving it to your lass! And allowing her to buy eyelashes! And also driving it round until the corsa is ready to tear the roads up again![emoji20][emoji15]

Right. Pec forged Pistons, arp rods and connecting bolts are now in. Engine is back together all torqued down etc. used a new gasket kit which I managed to get from my local CTS head didn't need skimmed, had it checked when my local engine specialist re shimmed the high lift cams. New lightened and rebalanced crankshaft also installed which was free from my mate! Handy. Just need to connect the fuel return pipe and build the fuel pressure up in the morning then I'll be turning the key and listening to that beautiful sound. Love the sound of high lift cams in a car got that scooby put put sound lol

Video of the first start up since rebuild so as it stands atm it's running the x16xe with
Pec forged Pistons (11:5:1 comp ratio)
Arp forged con rods
Arp bolts and studs
Vx performance high lift inlet and high profile exhaust both re shimmed freshly
1.0 flat listened and balanced flywheel
Standard crank lightened and rebalanced
1.0 gearbox
Super chip ecu
Ported and polished inlet and throttle body
Straight pipe with powerbox
Direct cold air feed
V6 brakes
Coilovers cav slabs
Stripped inside
Going to get on the rollers when it's eventually back on the road amongst other small jobs
Video of first turn and some revs. Smokey as its cold start and I've obviously breaded the cylinders inserting the new Pistons so just burning the lube oil from the bores

Just took a while to "officially" start off camera to pressurise the fuel system along with that smoke as in typical engineer style, used double the normal amount of lube oil to slide them in haha. I love old Vauxhalls there so easy and fun to work on. I also forgot to re-earth the battery to the chassis so poo myself when I turned key and no ignition or power lol. I know it's loud atm but need to sort a blow on the flange from decat to pipe and also take centre box out. I love the sound of the click of a nice new torque wrench. Strange but such a nice noise lol

Angel eyes in. Borrowing my dads soldering gun this weekend to wire halos up and also to extend the sidelight wires as the standard loom isn't long enough to stretch them over so the extension wore I've fitted is just twisted in place so they'll be back out on Saturday for the final fitting. Will upload a night time photo of the halos then. Can't wait

Has anyone else got a powerbox? My b came with it so I wanted to know if anyone fitted one their self and just how much of a difference was felt? Just wondering out of curiosity.

What is it exactly?

When they were designing the x16xe lotus were behind the design of it and at first it was quicker then the c20xe so they pulled some power back by restricting things like intake manifold etc this powerbox is for 1.4 and 1.6 engines and it replaces the top part of the Inlet manifold and is pretty much derestricted so it doesn't block the air and lag the power like the normal one does. It's kind of like stage one of having throttle bodies. Gains are anything upward depending on what mods you have minimum 10bhp 1.4 and 15bhp 1.6 aparantly you lose a small amount of low end torque but it's amazing through the gears and goes through the redline so a raised Rev limiter is another mod to do. Mine O_o moves through the gears like a bat out of hell! Meant to sound different aswell. I couldn't say as I didn't do this mod but it sounds amazing if you watch the most recent vid although atm it's running pec forged Pistons arp conrods and bolts high lift cams diablous vernier pullies super hip and straight pipe lol
