right, i had a 1 litre 12 valve corsa and the ecu is lcoated where it is in most corsas, accessible from the drivers side inside the car behind the dash.
12 valvers dont aren\'t carb coz they have a single point injection system, as i think i read simon wrote.
ive upped the throttle now so it doesnt cut out when i stop but when i stop the engine it doesnt start back up but i have to jump it hard on a hill then it starts again. i have no clue wots goin on
f**k hell i found it now, it was behind the engine bloke. the engine now stays on cos i uped the throttle but when u turn the engine off u have to bump start it cos it wont start
should be alright id say, the heat from the exhaust would burn off any petrol in the cat. and as its made of metal it\'ll be fine. maybe if the cat was on its way out.....
you can do it, but it sucks unburnt petrol through the engine which then goes into the cat and f**k it up! also like revving your car and then turning it off immediatley after! when you turn it back on it then put unburnt fuel thro the engine
This is only true of carb engines, injection is a tad more sophisticated and should do this unless its mega early set up.
Oh and just to mention all 4vlave per cylnder vx engines are multipoint
so any ideas what could be wrong. doesnt start when i turn the engine off. also it used to cut out but i opened the accelerator now so that it doesnt lol
