20SEH Head (worked) and R1 inlet manifold

Post by Chrex »

Over the next few days, i am going to be taking a 20SEH out of my car, and replacing with an XE.

The head on the 8v has had quite a bit of work done to it, and works extremely well! Spec list of the improvements is below:

- Newman 280deg Tarmac Rally cam. Suited to twin carbs or modified injection.
- New set of Newman rockers and lifters.
- Ported, Polished and skimmed.
- Valve seats and guides were all worked and renewed.
- Piper Vernier Pulley.

I spent quite a bit of money on this, and it certainly did what i wanted, with the power peaking at 6600RPM! Unfortunately, a very tired bottom end has been the restriction, but it has still been revving, and pulling all the way to 6.5k, where on the standard cam it ran out after 4.5k. It certainly made a massive difference, and with a bottom end in good condition it would certainly be a superb head!

I ran it on R1 bike carbs but like i say, the cam is designed for DCOE's and modified injection systems.

I am after £330 deliverd for it...and considering what its cost me, and having only done about 2000miles, i think thats a resonable ask.

I am on the Wirral (close to N.Wales) if you do want to collect.

I also have the manifold for the carbs for sale too. Is a Bogg brothers item, i cannot stress the quality of this piece. Has cutouts for the Yamaha rubbers to sit into at the top of each inlet tract too.

Am after £150 for this (carbs not included). Can post at extra cost if needed to.

Any info or questions about either of these, give me a text/ring on 07707381866.

Thanks for reading.
