REmoval of Existing HU Cage/ Wire Loom Access

Post by fudleone »

Dear All,

i have successfully removed the stock radio that came in Corsa B. now i would like to install an Alpine with its own cage.

Firstly how do i remove the existing cage to get the Vauxhall loom and Aerial connector to \'dangle\' freely?

i wanna make a clean job of it so that i can replace the shizzle when i come to sell the car.

Cheers.

Fudleone

P.s, already have an ISO connector adapter etc.

heres another tip.
if the rca wont pull out far enough to plug it into your new hu if you feel along the wires there should be some spare wire taped up.

Woohoo!!!!

Successfully did my own first jobby. Hard Wired the leads from the HU to an ISO adapter and fiddled with the existing ISO. Its all installed now.

only downside is there is no connection to the aerial since the lead from my HU is a long barreled black thing and the aerial lead won\'t plug in.

Do i need a sort of adapter?
