Possible yes and also really not advised[emoji38]What would raising the engine achieve anyway? The sump would need to be near scraping on the ground to cause any real shaft issue
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Because your so low aswell there'd be no real movement in the suspension, I ran at -75 mil and that was fairly solid so I'd imagine yours is like welded shocks

I can't come to any other conclusion as to why the shaft would tear itself to pieces & leave the cup still in the gearbox other than me hitting a bump & it having no room to travel... Any theories? Answers on a postcard! :coffee:

Possibly the lack of movement in the suspension or it was just a knackered shaft

Did it eat the shaft or pop out, I've had shafts pop out after hitting bumps

It needed replacing anyway

It tore it out in a spectacular fashion to the point where the inner cup remained in the gearbox

So it broke? Clean snap or more a cracking

If not can you get a pic of the shaft and inside the diff

Managed to get a day off work to go to a local scrapyard just to find it wasn't open however my eBay bargain bonnet struts turned up which were fitted within 5 minutes, such a simple job!

In the mean time a friend of mine came round with a present for me in the form of a smoked interior light from a Zafira which sets things off nicely but no pics of that...

Then I set about fitting my £40 straight through centre section & backbox...

Fingers crossed the driveshaft issue should be sorted tomorrow! :jezza: (Always wanted to use that smilie!)

Ahh easy done pal! I'm sure it's not pleasant but it's only a small error nothing major or stupid so I wouldn't worry too much about it!

Just to update, The Corshed is in pieces at the moment since a bearing on my steering column died so set about replacing it only to go to put the steering boss back on & collapse the column!

In other news my driving test is re-booked :ohyeah:
