Hi all??
Need some help, I'm undecided wether to get a set of coil overs for the B or get a full apex upgraded shocks with lowering springs.
Any ideas, what do people think??
Thanks in advance

Coil overs you can adjust your ride height but they can be harsh on everyday driving as where springs are a bit softer

Re: Coil overs or upgraded shocks and springs??
If its budget coilovers and budget shock/spring, the shocks and springs are always better
Budget coilovers are generally horrible for everyday and suck for cornering compared to a shock and spring, but if you go for avos or koni's or gaz coilovers start coming into there own

If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Re: Coil overs or upgraded shocks and springs??
Cheers Johnny that helps a lot the springs and shocks that I will get are apex right round so they are pretty decent, but glad you said about budget coil overs been quite harsh on cornering and everyday use think I'll stick to the springs and shocks because they are upgraded from standard and will be miles better than what's in now haha [emoji41]johnny wrote:If its budget coilovers and budget shock/spring, the shocks and springs are always better

Cheers buddy yeah I've done a bit of researching and I've read that they are quite firm and can be bad for everyday use so think I'm gonna stick to springs and shocks the ones I've got in mind are Apex right round with 40mm dropcoupe77 wrote:Coil overs you can adjust your ride height but they can be harsh on everyday driving as where springs are a bit softer

Yeah I did think about 60 but thought 40mm would still be more practical as well as looking smarter with being loweredcoupe77 wrote:Tbh I wouldn't go past a -40mm drop if your using it as a daily

My cheap coilovers were a huge improvement over stock for cornering.
