Newbie saying hello.

Post by KyleArcher »

Hi all, my names Kyle and I live in Kent.

Thought I'd sign up because I purchased a Corsa B last week for only £230!! It's a 1996 1.4 16v Sport in red with 107,000 on the clock. As you can see below, it's probably seen better days. Rust (bubbling) around the rear wiper, bottom of the (orange) spoiler on both sides, passenger door and finally the bonnet. There was a bonnet bra on the car, I thought I'd see if there was a reason why and ta'da, sort of repaired rust? The only other thing I can see is an oil leak from the top of the engine, got rocker cover gaskets arriving tomorrow, hopefully that solves that problem.

It's our 'second' car, so will be transforming the car as and when I can.

Let me know what you think, no comments will offend me, hopefully. Lol.

Welcome along mate :)

It's good to see the old sport models still kicking :) is it the 8v or 16v model? The 8vs are rebadged sri's but the 16v is wicked fast for a 14

What Have you planned for it
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Thanks for the welcome Johnny. Yeah when I see it advertised I thought I'd snap at the chance, especially at that price. It's the 16v. I've only driven it 5 miles home and the oil light was on so I didn't get chance to open it up. I've had the sri 8v and that was quick.

Plans, erm just low and clean. I like things simple and clean. Lol.

Cheers coupe. It's not bad looking, just rusty in places and very dull.
