Leave the M6 at Junction 36 and follow the A591 towards Kendal and Windermere. Continue along the A591 towards Windermere for approximately 8 miles until you reach a roundabout - do not turn off on to the A590 towards Barrow and do not turn off at the South Kendal exit. At the roundabout take the third (last) exit for the A6 into Kendal. This will bring you in the north end of Kendal along Windermere Road. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 miles and at the second set of traffic lights keep left. Stay in the left lane and continue straight - you should now pass Kwik-Fit on your left. Follow this road round and at the mini-roundabout keep left (following signs for Shap and Penrith - A6). After approximately 1 mile take the turn-off on your right into Queen Katherines Avenue and take either the first or second turning on the left into the Old Showground car park (you will see Comet, Halfords, JJB Sports etc.)
