Cherry bomb backbox

i have a corsa b 1.2 sxi year 2000 and was wondering if it is illegal to cut out the middle box and weld a straight bit of pipe on in its place?

its not illegal to do that only illegal to decat as it O_o up the emishons from the car altho they do sound like a tin can if you cut them out i mot loadsa cars with midle box cut out but unless they O_o up on emishons cant fail em

duno about price but yeah u mean de-cat it.

not sure if its illegal but your car would fail its mot on emmissions.

not the middle box you wouldnt, if you cut the cat out then yes the middles box is a noise reducer

i have a 1.2 16v corsa b i have a cherry bomb backbox no center box and ive de-catted it sounds good very very loud a real roar i de-catted it last week after mot and it passed mot with cherry bomb on and with center box out i have made it so i can put my old cat on for next mot so no worrys about mot i would recomend. ill try get a vid up on here see what you think.

might be a bit late now but basically an exhaust system as long as its not over what the copper thinks is loud you shouldnt get pulled an if you do i think theres a amount of decibals u gt to be under before u can be done inn anyway and as long as the emmisions are still ok its perfectly fine
