Changing from existing insurance

Hi,

I currently have a 1.2. corsa b insured with Ikube for £2000. I have paid this off in one lot since april.

If I bought a car and wanted to change from the current insurance company before next years payment is due, would I be refunded for the rest of the year?

With normal insurance companies you would simply pay the difference, however there is a tracker on the car which reduced my premium. (This means I can't drive between 11:00 - 5:00)

Would somebody explain please what happens if I buy a 1.6, for example, and want to change insurance companies so that I can have the tracker removed.
