Tax and MOT

Does any one know if its "legal" to drive a car to the mot station if it has no tax or mot?

you dont have to have tax or mot to drive it too an mot centre but you do have to have a lisence and be insured to drive a vehicle !!

nice one cheers, i do have a license and will be insured on the car. it might be taking the piss slightly as will be driving like 70 miles. fingers crossed will get away with it.

bloody far to go 4 abn mot ent it is it a friendly 1 ? lol o yeah i forgot to mention that it has too be booked in at teh garage you are taking it too



why so far as they mite look at that as a bit suspicious !!!

buying the car off my brother and he has left it on the drive for ages, i know the garage and will get it booked in before i collect it. thinking if i drive sensibly should b fine

its worth saying that you dont need tax to drive to an mot appointment
as your unable to actualy get tax without a valid mot

but the car does has to be SORN, if your caught driving (to an MOT test or not) without tax AND without a SORN notice, you car could be seized and crushed.
