Pm'd you!

Right so not a lot to update but I've spoken to the insurance company & explained that I don't want to claim, heard from the 3rd party & he reckons it's going down as "Knock for knock" so i'm just waiting for verification.

Meanwhile I set about tearing the front end off to assess the damage...

Better make that both front wings...

Coilovers are finally here!
Image

Should hopefully have them bolted on tomorrow, spent a small fortune on underseal & paint today to take advantage of the clean inner wings too! Shame tomorrows weathers gonna be crap but I'll try & brave it!

Finally got the coilovers bolted on today & although it still needs to settle I'm almost definitely pulling the helpers out the front & sourcing some -120mm rear springs!

As usual I'll bore you with pics...

Just a small update... Decided it wasn't low enough after leaving it to settle so I whipped the helpers out the front, trimmed the bumpstops & maxed them out...

Anyone got any -110mm/-120mm rear springs for sale?

That's going to catch like mother, can you even get full lock? [emoji38]
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

To be honest I haven't tried it yet, once I get the new front end on I'll be armed with a big hammer & an arch roller in an attempt to make enough room! :D

So I found myself myself some Corsa C SXI wheels for not a lot requiring 2 tyres, couldn't resist a trial fit even though they would benefit a refurb...
Image

Found a front end in a scrapyard very local to me for £40 but it's extremely faded ( Flame Red to Flame Pink all the way to Flame White!) which I might take a gamble on although i'm not convinced any amount of T-Cut will bring it back

But the bargain of the century (I think?), on Facebook I found a set of genuine smoked Depo's for £30 but they were 4 hours away, however after finding out my sister lives 45 minutes away kinda helped plus knowing I bought her an £80 car seat for my niece meant that she kinda owed me a favour, so now I have to wait for the weekend for her to come down to see old friends & hold a post baby shower meaning I've saved an extortionate amount on postage & they remain a bargain! :D

So after a lot of dicking about I've finally got another front end in my colour! Needs a good cut back but underneath everythings mint :D

Got the Depo's fitted & now I'm tempted to wire the indicators as sidelights...
Image

Gonna dig my arch roller out tomorrow seeing as I have no clearance whatsoever...
Image

On another note I've finally sourced me a pair of -110mm rear springs :D So I can get it down even more!
Image

Yes I know I've got abit funky with the editing, just found a new effect!

Even rolling the arches I'm not sure you'll get clearance

Imho to keep it that low the wings would need cut or spacers and a boot load of camber and corsas arnt set up for running camber unfortunately there is no room at the front

It's worth a try rolling them but you will be lucky [emoji14] if you wire the indicators to the parks will they stay lit up and still flash when in use like the "U.S" style?

A mate of mine made his indicators side lights on his starlet, got a dual filament bulb holder and then just spliced the wires across from the indicators to side lights using scotch locks so he can disconnect it for its Mot and it looks pretty wicked when he's driving along, with amber side lights and then just flashes brighter for indicators, think that's like a US thing as well

Nahh dude just buy the kit with probably a relay in it so that the stay on constant but flash on and off when in use.
