The FREEEE Corsa!

Post by boirace1302 »

Hello!
So last weekend (ish) this happened...
Image

Resulting in this...
Image

Basically a friend of mine was given it to learn to drive in & has since passed & moved onto something alittle quicker so she has given it to me for the very same purpose. :ohyeah:

Specs
14" mismatched steelies with balloon tyres
Debadged grille
Team Heko wind deflectors
-40mm (I think?) Lowering springs
Calibra leather front seats with the rears still waiting to go in
0 guage audio wiring kit
Borrowed headunit with no pre-outs
Competition spec sub box to the dimensions of the whole boot with an unknown sub
Fried amplifier

Just waiting to get Christmas out the way then I can start tidying it up.

Just been taken from behind by my bank manager in exchange for a sh*t load of service parts & a couple of small mods, fingers crossed most of the service bits turn up this weekend so I can get it bashed out in a weekend.

So this weekend we were forecast heavy rain which didn't actually happen but thought I'd play it safe & stop inside instead of braving the cold, all of the parts I've ordered so far are finally here though...

And an early Christmas present from the mother...

(Couldn't resist having the snap off boss too so I can walk around Tesco with my steering wheel!)

Managed to fix the seat belt pre-tensioner issue & made a start on taking the steering wheel off to find it actually requires the assistance of either a puller of some description or The Hulk! Hoping to have it all on tomorrow after work in the dark. :-?

So after a lot of blood, sweat, tears & stressing I gave up trying to kick/hammer the steering wheel off & borrowed a puller from work which turned out to be too small, so the engineer in my mothers partner came out & he found some strong piano wire to use as a sort of harness for the puller to sit in which did the grand total of not a lot!(Except for turn the centre a funny shape!)

That idea soon went out the window & I resorted to giving it hell with a hammer & chisel...

Which led to this...

So after putting it off for long enough I finally gave it a bath...

Then dipped into my pocket for a new headunit, sub & amp...

Now have the rest of the week off work so tomorrow (Weather permitting) I'm gonna rip the interior out to remove the 0 gauge wiring kit to go back to the previous owner as promised & run my crappy less powerful stuff, then at the weekend I've hopefully secured a friends garage/workshop to fit all the service bits finally!

A wash makes a massive difference :) any plans for new wheels?
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Yeah eventually when funds allow, need to get some new suspension first seeing as it handles like a boat with lowering springs & dead shocks so might aswell go straight for coilovers.

Are your tyres not different sizes? I would sort that out tbh.

Oh good stuff. What kind of camera equipment do you use? Would it be entry level or high end stuff? Wouldn't mind dabbling in photography a bit [emoji14]
