Yeah sounds like a unhappy neighbour grassing you up to me. Surely no crime has been committed, what a waste of money and resources by them looking into this.

There's only one that I've not got on with but I don't even know how he'd have seen all the cars
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Image dropped the engine into place this evening
Image got more than this done but this was the last pic I took of the bay, all that's left is a few plugs and exhaust, power steering pump and fan belt

Also took a pic of all the bolts that never made it back on [emoji38] Image
Most are from old engine but we're worried there not all from the old engine [emoji38]

Cops also came out today apologised for inconvenience and left, what a waste of time I had to drive 5 mile from the garage where the corsa is to my house for them to look around for 30 seconds and leave

Yeah they'll all be thrown in a bucket and will save some other engines [emoji38]

Havnt tried to start it yet as it's at a mates and it's a small quiet old village, sort of like a place time forgot I don't even get signal on my phone [emoji38] so we thought it best to get the exhaust on first, the engine was running before it was removed so it should just fire up

The dip stick is random because it's not from that engine or the old engine so unsure where it came from haha

Engines developed a ticking noise today and oil light is coming on intermittently, hoping it's just the oil pressure switch and not the oil pump

Yeah, don't think there's any difference in the engines just the flywheel and box

I'm fairly certain the tapping is a lifter and I'm hoping it'll free up after its run in fully

I bought this engine essentially untested, woman told me it was running fine and I just took her word and bought it, the only thing I did was start it and run it for about 30 seconds [emoji38] not my greatest move but I was desperate to get my car sorted

Is anything salvageable from the old engine?

Yeah the whole engine bar the valves are in good condition, the pistons are lightly scuffed but are definitely usable, I've seen far worse [emoji38]
