I was one of them but I understand the point of them now [emoji38]

Engine is basically brand new, 36000 miles from new, bought the car off an old woman who was the 3rd owner from new and has owned it since 2003

Only it was a more door I'd have felt bad about stripping and scrapping it

Took all of 20 mins to drop it out

Shell is away on the back of a lorry and they gave me 60 quid for it, bought car for 150 so well pleased :)

You leave the 4 doors alone [emoji38]
Good purchase, how did you find that? I can never find cheap cars lol.
Did you use an engine hoist?

Just got in contact with every scrapie, dealer and mechanic I knew and asked them to find one

Just as I was running out of faith I got a call about it :)

Na we just cut it out dropped it on a tyre and lifted the body over it, we weren't going for tidy just speed, scrap man lifted in to the van with the crane on the lorry

Think jebbtools do a cheapish one, they don't go for under 200 most the time, even second hand they sell for about 170

Just keep an eye out in the dealer, that's were I get most of my tools cheap

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 89&alt=web

Found this on ebay, very cheap imo

First thing I had was like a winch on a roller guide bolted to the roof was only like 50 euro at the time but I had a concrete roof so was held in with massive anchors, don't know if you'd have a roof you think would support an engine but thought it was worth mentioning

Didn't get it finished today, tbh we barely got started [emoji38]
Image

Took a lot longer to swap all the manual stuff over, the auto fly wheel was just an absolute pig but got it off and the new engine is ready to go in tomorrow(hopefully)

Also got a call today from the cops about the amount of cars I currently have and if I'm selling them without being a registered car salesman or some crap [emoji38] so they said they'd call out tomorrow to inspect, probably try make me pay more tax, ffs there has to be more important crap they should be looking into

Sounds about right, their to busy looking into stuff like this, speeding offences and people using bus lanes to look at real crimes.

Yeah its honestly ridiculous, the cars arnt advertised anywhere or sitting out at the road side so it's a local that must have reported me

I wouldn't mind as much if I was actually selling cars but I'm closer to starting a breakers yard than a forecourt [emoji38]
